We require an experienced account management professional to work with one of our principal product teams to maintain and develop a national contract with the NHS. This contract provides a nationally used selection system that is responsible for the recruitment of all junior doctors to the NHS.

The ideal candidate will form a relationship with the NHS to help promote and identify new opportunities, whilst also maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and engagement. 

A successful candidate will also have a proven track record in healthcare software account management, ideally working for or within an NHS education/recruitment setting. The candidate needs to understand software well and would benefit from having a good technical knowledge (although not essential).

Role Specification:

  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with our customers
  • Participate in regular face to face meetings with customer to identify their needs and manage good relations
  • Develop and promote best practice in the use of our software
  • Promote the use, understanding and uptake of the software and new modules/features
  • Help develop business cases and case studies for our customers and products
  • Provide regular feedback to the marketing, sales, product and support teams
  • Organise and participate in customer workshops and user groups
  • Co-ordinate customer side activities including arranging periodic account reviews
  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction KPIs are being met
  • Promote new initiatives, new releases and new features to existing customers
  • Identify risks and opportunities
  • Support the sales team by identifying and generating new business sales opportunities from existing customers
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant healthcare issues and industry trends
  • Assist the product team with the preparation of customer documentation (quotations, training plans, etc.)
  • Develop effective account management and communications strategies
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all account management activities and business opportunities

The Individual:

Candidates need to be proactive, motivated, confident, articulate and ambitious with a proven track record of software account management and experience of the NHS and/or recruitment systems. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to develop close working relationships with stakeholders in different roles and at different levels.

Appointment Process:

The appointment will be made following an interview. The interview will be conducted at our offices in Brookwood and should last approximately 1.5 hours. During the interview the candidate’s career, portfolio and education history will be reviewed, with ample time available for questions. Candidates will be asked to undertake a DISC psychometric test during the interview.

We will also require the candidate to prepare and deliver a short presentation of between 10-15 minutes on the topic of “How software can be used to improve the delivery of healthcare in the NHS”. The purpose of the presentation is to assess the candidate’s presentation & communication skills and a broad understanding of the NHS. The presentation should be relevant to the title but the content is entirely at the candidate’s discretion and it can be delivered in any format.

Depending on the number and suitability of the candidates interviewed, a second round of interviews may be arranged.
