![]() Hicom have developed a powerful and flexible claims and financial management system. This system can either be integrated into Intrepid or used as a stand-alone application. Up to four levels of accounting hierarchy can be defined within the system, enabling finances to be managed by, for instance, health authority, deanery, department and account. The financial framework can change year-on-year, with access to previous year’s information provided for transition and review purposes. Any number of separate accounts can be set-up within the system, with each account being allocated a budget. The budget can be equally apportioned throughout the year or separate monthly budgets can be recorded. For each account, any number of items can be entered. This will enable, for instance, ‘fees’, ‘travel costs’ and ‘subsistence costs’ to be recorded separately (as items) and attributed to an over all ‘course costs’ account budget. Claims can be entered for any account, with a tally of spend being shown for the account and for the claimant. If the claims and financial management module is linked to Intrepid, claimants can be attributed to trainees, educators, GPs or practices. Numerous budget and financial management reports can be produced. The system is also linked to the analysis tool, enabling user-defined queries, reports, graphs and outputs to be produced. |
